N2XSH, NA2XSH 12/20 kV

Medium-voltage power cables, with cross-linked polyethylene insulation and halogen-free thermoplastic polyethylene sheath, with low emission of smoke and corrosive gases (LSFH), for nominal voltages Uo/U = 12/20 kV

Product description

1 Class 2 compacted copper or aluminum conductor, according to SR EN 60228
2 Extruded semiconductor screen.
3 XLPE insulation
4 Extruded semiconductor screen
5 Semiconductor strip
6 Copper wire screen
7 Copper strip
8 Thermoplastic polyethylene sheath with reduced emission of smoke and corrosive gases, type HM4

The cables are intended for the distribution of electricity in fixed installations
The cables are intended for laying in tubes and pipes, on cable trays and cannot be installed directly in the ground or in water.
When burning, the cables do not release toxic and corrosive gases and have low smoke emission.
The cables are not intended to work in special environments (explosive or in the CNE side of the reactor).

Standard reference: SR HD 622
Product standard: SF 92 IPROEB
Rated voltage: Uo/U(Um) = 12/20 (24) kV
The minimum temperature of the cable measured on the sheath

– during assembly: -5 °C
– during operation: -33 °C

Maximum allowable temperature on the conductor

– during normal operation: +90 °C
– during short circuit (max. 5 s): 250 °C

Maximum temperature on the conductor under overload conditions:  +130 °C, 8 hours consecutively, but not more than 125 hours/year
Test voltage (50Hz, 5 min): 42 kV
Minimum bending radius during installation: 15 x exterior diameter
Partial discharge level: max. 2 pC

The cables have an increased flame propagation delay, according to SR EN 60332-3-24
The corrosivity of the gases released during combustion according to SR EN 60754-2:  – pH ≥ 4,3; conductivity ≤ 100 µS.cm-1
Smoke density according to SR EN 61034 ; light permeability ≥ 60%
