Product description
ACSS
Aluminum conductor supported by steel, concentrically wired
ACSS is a bimetallic conductor, concentrically wired. The heart is made of steel wire around which one or more layers of 1350-O aluminum are wrapped. The steel core can be made of 7, 19, 37 or more wires. For normal environmental conditions, speech class A is sufficient.
Avantajele:
ACSS is a conductor similar to classic conductors from OLAl, with some very important advantages. ACSS operates continuously at high temperatures (200 0C) without being adversely influenced by the mechanical characteristics; it has self-cleaning properties (self-damping) and shows a clearly superior behavior compared to the classic OLAl conductor in the case of additional emergency electrical loads, the final arrow not being affected by aluminum creep.
Applications:
ACSS is used in overhead power distribution and transmission lines. It is particularly useful in:
1 conductor replacement works on an existing line, where an increased current carrying capacity is required, while maintaining the same voltage and the same passageway
2 in new line assembly works where savings can be made with the expenses related to the structure (smaller poles) due to the reduced arrow
3 new lines that require a higher emergency load
4 lines where wind vibration is a problem
ACSS/ACS
Aluminum conductor supported by aluminized steel, concentrically wired
ACSS is a bimetallic conductor, concentrically wired. One or more layers of 1350 O aluminum wire are wired around the aluminized steel core. The O -soft- characteristic of aluminum determines that many or most of the mechanical tests of the ACSS are supported by steel.
ACSS/ACS is used for overhead conductors where a high degree of corrosion resistance is required. The aluminized steel core of the ACSS/ACS conductor has improved parameters, reduced weight compared to the standard ACSS conductor and has a better conductivity of aluminum with a resistance increased traction. ACS can be: very high resistance aluminized steel core 20 EHSA or 14 EHSA.
ACSS/TW
Trapezoidal aluminum conductor supported by steel, concentrically wired
The conductor is designed so that at the same cross-sectional area of the conventional conductor, the outer diameter of the conductor with profiled aluminum wires is smaller by 10-15%.
At the same outer diameter of the conductor with profiled wires as that of the classical conductors, a cross-section larger by 20 to 25% of the conductor with profiled wires results.
The ACSS/TW conductors are similar to the conventional ACSR/TW conductors but they also have some very important advantages, among which the fact that ACSS/TW can work continuously at temperatures of 200 ºC or even 250 ºC when the core is made of ACS (aluminized steel) .
